About me
Ever since being born on May 1st 1999., I was surrounded by computers from a very young age. After attending Technical School of Slavonski Brod, getting a degree in mechanical engineering and participating in various competitions regarding mechanics and mechanical structures, I decided to go back to my roots and enroll into Faculty of organization and informatics to pursue my IT career. After trying out many different IT branches, I came across frontend development and saw it as a great opportunity to express myself. This is a showcase of my current skills which I'm sharpening on a daily basis. You can see some of my projects down below. I have been using Windows my whole life, but during a large part of my development I used different Linux Distributions such as Ubuntu and Elementary OS. Free Bird Music
Free Bird Music
I made this web app as part of my Bachelor's Thesis at Faculty of organization and informatics. The subject was Website Analysis and Optimisation to Improve User Experience and my task was to improve this website. This is also my first fullstack application which used Laravel for the backend API and Nuxt 3 for the frontend. The website is deployed on Vercel and you can check it out using the buttons below!
Alojzije Janković Website
This is a website made for Croatian chess grandmaster Alojzije Janković. I used an external API called AbChess that helped a lot involving the display and functionality of the chess board. The website includes multiple web pages and I used technologies like SASS, JavaScript Modules and Dynamic Module Loading for the first time while building this project. It is written completely in Croatian but I hope you like it nonetheless!
BMI Calculator
This website has a very simple function. After the user inputs their height and weight their BMI (Body Mass Index) gets calculated and they get appropriate feedback. The feedback gives some tips how the user can improve their health and what they should do. This project was made with the help of an external library called progressbarjs and SASS.
Portfolio Website
Here you can see the process of making this portfolio website! Making it was very fun and I took inspiration from a task I got from the freeCodeCamp Web Design course. It started as a pure HTML, CSS and JS project but at the end I implemented SASS. It helped a lot with the organization and optimisation of the CSS. It will always be updated with new project and features, so keep an eye out! ;)
Sunnyside Agency Landing Page
This was a challenge from a website called Frontend Mentor (https://www.frontendmentor.io). This was the first challenge i solved on this website and it was a lot of fun! The design looks awesome and all in all building this website was a cool experience. I used the usual tools such as HTML/CSS , vanilla JavaScript and SASS.
freeCodeCamp Course Certificate
The freeCodeCamp Responsive Web Design course was detrimental to my start as a front end developer. It gave me a good introduction to front end development and gave me motivation to build on the knowledge I got from this course. Down below you can access the course certification and a Codepen collection of all projects created during the course.
MOOC Course Certificate
This Java course created by the University of Helsinki helped a lot in my overall education as a developer. It helped me build on existing knowledge from other programming languages like C# and I got a better overall feel for programming. It focuses heavy on the basics of Java and builds on the principles of Object Oriented Programming.
